What is L-Theanine?

L-Theanine is an amino acid found naturally in tea leaves, particularly green tea.

It's widely used as an ingredient in food supplements and is what we've chosen to build ALYVA around.

Does ALYVA contain nicotine?

No. ALYVA contains no nicotine.

We loved the convenience and ritual of traditional pouches but wanted to create something we could reach for without nicotine being part of the experience.

How do I use an ALYVA pouch?

Place one pouch comfortably between your upper lip and gum and leave it in place while you use it.

There's no chewing, swallowing or preparation required. Once you're finished, simply remove and dispose of the pouch responsibly.

What does ALYVA taste like?

Our first flavour is Cool Spearmint, developed to have a fresh, smooth flavour without the excessively strong taste or aroma we found in many traditional pouch products.

As regular pouch users ourselves, getting the flavour and overall experience right was a major part of developing ALYVA.

Why did you make the pouches smaller?

Comfort was one of our priorities when developing ALYVA.

After testing our original samples ourselves, we found that we'd prefer a smaller pouch for everyday use. We worked with our manufacturer to reduce the pouch size while retaining the formulation, creating a more discreet and comfortable fit under the lip.

Where is ALYVA made?

ALYVA is made in the United Kingdom by our specialist manufacturing partner.

Why ALYVA?

Because we wanted it ourselves.

We were already regular pouch users and loved the ritual and convenience, but didn't always want nicotine or caffeine every time we reached for one.

Rather than trying to make ourselves fit the products that already existed, we created the pouch we actually wanted to use.
